The Flames continue to get great goaltending from Jacob Markstrom, who stopped 32 of 34 shots. Markstrom is now 12-11-2 with a 2.65 GAA and a .910 save percentage. Since returning from injured reserve he is 6-3-0, allowing 19 goals in those nine starts. Calgary took control of this game righ t away, scoring four goals in the first period. Yegor Sharangovich led the way, recording a hat trick and Blake Coleman had a goal and two assists. Coleman now has eight points over his last five games and Sharangovich has six goals in his last five contests. The Flames are 16th in goals per game (3.17), and an abysmal power play is not helping, as the team is 30th overall (12.9%).
