The Flyers are having a rough season with their offense struggling, scoring only 2.83 goals per game with only four goals in the last two games. Travis Konecny, Joel Farabee, and Sean Couturier have combined for 43 goals and 52 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has played poorly. Only six skaters have eight goals or more and opponents can limit the top-heavy offense as a result.

The offense has struggled but the defense has stepped up, allowing only 2.76 goals per game. Nick Seeler and Sean Walker have combined for 5.2 defensive point shares and 167 blocked shots while Yegor Zamula, Travis Sanheim, and Cemeron York have combined for 5.5 defensive point shares to add depth to the unit. In addition, goaltender Carter Hart has been great with a .911 save percentage and a 2.69 goals-against average on 653 shots with 5.4 goals saved above average.
