The Charlotte Hornets (8-27; 14-21 ATS) are coming off Wednesday’s 123-98 defeat to the Sacramento Kings. It was their third loss in a row and the 14th in 15 games, as the Hornets have struggled a lot over the last few weeks. They are without LaMelo Ball (ankle), Gordon Hayward (calf), and Mark Williams (back), while PJ Washington (ankle) and Cody Martin (groin) are both questionable to play against the Spurs.

The Hornets scored just 39 second-half points against the Kings. Charlotte was outrebounded 53-36 and outscored 62-28 in the paint. Miles Bridges led the way for the Hornets with 24 points, seven rebounds, and six assists, and Terry Rozier notched 22 points and four boards.

“Sometimes we’re great on defense and sometimes we’re terrible,” Bridges said. “We’ve just got to play the same every time and have a true identity. I feel like our identity changes every game, so we’ve got to just stick to our identity and have that be us.”

The Hornets are 13th in the Eastern Conference, seven games behind the No. 10 seed. They rank 26th in the league in adjusted offensive efficiency (110.5 points per 100 possessions) and 28th in adjusted defensive efficiency (121.5).
