Memphis Grizzlies (11-23) vs. Los Angeles Lakers (17-18)
The 2023-24 NBA season continues Friday, January 5, with the Memphis Grizzlies squaring off against the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference battle at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, with the tip-off at 10:00 PM ET.
Memphis meets Los Angeles for the second time this season, and the Lakers aim for their third straight victory over the Grizzlies. Back in November, the Lakers dismantled the Grizzlies 134-107 as 6.5-point home favorites with a total of 225.5 points.

The Memphis Grizzlies (11-23; 13-21 ATS) closed down a three-game homestand this past Wednesday. During that stretch, the Grizzlies have sandwiched a 106-98 victory over the San Antonio Spurs with a couple of losses against the Sacramento Kings 123-92 and the Toronto Raptors 116-111.
The Grizzlies are coming off a tough loss to the Raptors, who went 12-for-26 from beyond the 3-point line and 22-for-27 from the charity stripe. Memphis made just 42.6% of its field goals (15-for-42 from deep). The Grizzlies outscored the Raptors 35-23 in the fourth quarter but couldn’t find a way to come out on top.
“I've got to get this team better prepared. We were flat tonight. That's on me,” Memphis coach Taylor Jenkins said
Ja Morant led the way for the Grizzlies last Wednesday, posting a line of 28 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds. He’s now averaging 25.6 points, 8.3 assists, and 5.4 boards on the season. The Grizzlies are dead last in the NBA in adjusted offensive efficiency (106.7 points per 100 possessions) and tenth in adjusted defensive efficiency (113.4).
