The Seton Hall Pirates have played two conference games in the Big East so far and have looked like two completely different teams. A clear distinction between those games was location, as Seton Hall looked amazing at home upsetting #5 UConn by 15 points, but immediately followed it up by losing to unranked Xavier by 20 on the road. The Pirates are out to prove they can play better on the road as they take on the Friars. In their last game, Seton Hall was led by Dre Davis with 18 points in the loss to Xavier.
Seton Hall is led in points, assists and steals by their athletic 6'6 guard Kadary Richmond. He averages 15.2 PPG, 6.2 RPG, 4.2 APG and 1.9 steals per game to fill out the stat sheet. Richmond does a little of everything, except shoot from the outside as he only has two made threes on the season. Richmond has scored 13 or more in his last three games, including dropping 23 in the win over U Conn. Dre Davis is another scoring guard with good size at 6'6. Davis averages 13.4 PPG and 5.5 RPG. Their top shooter is Al-Amir Dawes, the 6'2 guard has 28 made threes but is only connecting on 31.8% of his attempts from deep. Their most productive post player is Jaden Bediako, the 6'10 center adds 9.8 PPG and 8.1 RPG on the inside.
Seton Hall is currently ranked 80th overall according to KenPom. They are better offensively where they rank 64th in efficiency, while their defense ranks 111th in efficiency. The Pirates play slow on offense, their tempo is ranked 278th in the nation based on their pace of play.
