The Seattle Seahawks play host to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday afternoon from Lumen Field. This expects to be a crucial showdown and with both teams on the cusp of playoff berths, neither can afford the loses. They both enter with 8-7 records and after Pittsburgh won in overtime the last time these two squared off in 2021, the rematch expects to be just as exciting. Despite a loaded slate of games on Sunday, this is one fans will want to clear their calendars for.

After injuries and changes at quarterback, along with a three-game winning streak, the Steelers finally able to get back into the win column last week. Despite being a three-point underdog, the Steelers dominated from start to finish to take down the Bengals in an AFC North rivalry. Being not only away from home, but all the way on the West Coast, is likely to make things a challenge for this group, as their .500 record on the road shows some inconsistencies. With the Ravens coming up next, Pittsburgh knows that this is a game they have to win if they want to find themselves playing in the postseason.

The Steelers have one of the league’s shortest injury reports, which is bound to give them confidence. With that said though, there are a few key names to keep an eye on. Najee Harris is questionable, as is Minkah Fitzpatrick, giving them a potent ial loss on each side of the ball. In addition, Kenny Pickett remains out, though wasn’t missed in last week’s win.

Pittsburgh will have to lean on one of the league’s most dominant defenses on the road in this one. From a numbers standpoint, there’s a clear dropoff from last year, though their ability to get after the quarterback and generate turnovers is key. The offense has struggled this season and even after looking good last week, questions remain as to how they can replicate that performance. The wide receiver room took a step forward and against a defense that ranks near the bottom of the league in Seattle, will be feeling good about their chances to find success. A strong first drive to keep confidence up is a must but if there’s rust early, this one might not go in a desirable way.
