We're analyzing our favorite NBA player props and the best bets for Thursday, based on the best NBA odds.
Thursday's eight-game NBA slate is full of large spreads, back-to-backs, and notable injuries. That means there are plenty of great player props to target.
As losers of 27 straight, the Detroit Pistons will be in tough to end that streak on the road against the Boston Celtics.
Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies travel to Ball Arena for a matchup with the defending champion Denver Nuggets. Additionally, the Miami Heat hit the road to take on the Golden State Warriors, and the Portland Trail Blazers host the San Antonio Spurs.
The Nuggets, Warriors, and Blazers are all shorthanded, so they'll need healthy players to step up, and we're banking on that happening.
Here are our NBA player props and best bets for Thursday (odds via our best NBA betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Thursday's NBA player props
With Draymond Green on the shelf and Andrew Wiggins struggling, Steve Kerr has given Jonathan Kuminga and rookie Brandin Podziemski starting roles in Golden State's lineup. In seven games since joining the starting five, Kuminga has averaged 14.3 points and scored at least 13 in four of them. Over his last 10 overall, he's hit this mark in seven contests. Kuminga has scored at least 13 in 12 games overall this season, and six have come at home.
The matchup with Miami isn't the easiest, but this is a very low point total to hit, and given his recent success as a scorer with the first unit, we'll take the Over. Kuminga should have no shortage of opportunities for the shorthanded Warriors.
Jokic hasn't recorded a triple-double in any of his last six games, and it's because he's been skimpy on the assists. He recorded double-digit assists just once in that span, though he's posted four straight games with double-digit rebounds. His assist total should be on the rise Thursday against Memphis with Aaron Gordon sidelined indefinitely.
In 11 games played without Gordon since the start of last season, Jokic has recorded double-digit assists seven times and posted a triple-double five times. His rebounding has remained consistently elite this season, but his assists have fluctuated.
In three games played without Gordon earlier this season, he averaged 13.3 dimes. He has 10 triple-doubles on the season, which already makes this a worthy wager, but given his strong production without Gordon and the fact that he's at his best at home, we're taking the triple-double.
Shaedon Sharpe remains out, and that means Brogdon should be with the starting five in his absence. As a starter, Brogdon has averaged 15.9 points and 7.0 assists in 13 games, with four double-doubles. Since being re-inserted into the starting lineup over the last three games, his numbers have been mostly the same, with one double-double in that span.
The Spurs allow the second-most assists to opponents, and Brogdon should have no problem taking full advantage of this favorable matchup. He'll continue to operate as Portland's de facto point guard, and it shouldn't be a difficult prospect for him to hand out double-digit assists in this one. His scoring should be of no concern, either, as he's posted double-digit points in 16 of 21 contests this season.
Cunningham has been on an absolute tear as of late, and he's hit this prop in four of his last five. In that span, he's averaged 31.8 points and posted two 40-point performances. Cunningham has scored at least 24 points in 13 games overall this season. In three full games against Boston as a rookie, he scored 24 points or more twice.
Though his most immediate production has been phenomenal, it's not just a flash in the pan. Cunningham has averaged 24.7 points over his last 15 and scored at least 24 in seven of them.
Detroit continues to lose games at a historic pace, but Cunningham has tried his best to earn the team some wins and snap the abysmal losing streak. He'll look to keep that up against the Celtics, and though this isn't the most favorable matchup, he's been too good lately to bet the Under.
