The Utah Jazz are on the road as they make the trip to take on the New Orleans Pelicans Thursday night. Utah comes in off a 130-118 road win over San Antonio in their previous contest, covering the line as a three-point favorite, Tuesday night. New Orleans let one slip away as they were beaten 116-115 in overtime by Memphis at home Tuesday night, losing outright as a 4.5-point favorite, in their previous game. In the all-time regular season series between the teams, the Jazz own a 48-26 advantage and have won the last five meetings. That includes a 114-112 home win in the most recent matchup on November 27.

Utah won their third straight game on the road as they took down the Spurs in San Antonio Tuesday night. The Jazz enter this game 13-18 on the season and stood fourth in the Northwest Division, 10 games behind the Timberwolves for the top spot. They were 12th in the Western Conference standings, five games behind Sacramento for the final guaranteed playoff spot and 2.5 games behind the Warriors for the final spot in the play-in tournament. Against San Antonio, Utah trailed by as many as 15 in the opening quarter before trimming the margin to five at the end of the stanza. The Jazz rallied to lead by four at the half and led the rest of the way despite the Spurs’ best efforts to try and regain the lead. Utah shot 49.5% from the field, including 16 of 43 from three-point range, and controlled the glass by a 53-43 margin. Lauri Markkanen led the Jazz with 31 points and 12 rebounds in the win.
