NBA Player Props & Best Bets Today: Schedule, Picks for Wednesdayiv class=”bodyContent col-lg-9 mb-3″>

We're analyzing our favorite NBA player props and the best bets for Wednesday, based on the best NBA odds.

After a nine-game Tuesday, we've got a six-game NBA slate Wednesday and plenty of quality player props. The Philadelphia 76ers will be without star big man Joel Embiid as the team visits the Orlando Magic, and the healthy Sixers will have to step up in his place.

The Toronto Raptors face the Washington Wizards, and Scottie Barnes will look to stay hot as his breakout season continues. The shorthanded New York Knicks front court will need Isaiah Hartenstein to be at his best against Chet Holmgren and the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns will look to bounce back from a Christmas Day loss to the Dallas Mavericks when they face the Houston Rockets.

Here are our NBA player props and best bets for Wednesday (odds via our best NBA betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Wednesday's NBA player props

Joel Embiid will be out again, but we're not looking at his All-Star teammate in this one. Tyrese Maxey has disappointed in two of three games without Embiid this season, posting lines of 12/3/5 and 16/5/8. Instead, we'll look at De'Anthony Melton, who has shined in games that Embiid missed.

Melton has averaged 17.3 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in four games without Embiid this season, and he's posted at least 25 PRAs in all four contests. Keep in mind that one of those games was played without both Maxey and Embiid, but Melton has played superbly when given extra minutes.

In 14 games with at least 30 m inutes, Melton has averaged 23.6 PRAs and exceeded 25 in seven of them. Melton's points prop is understandably juiced, as is his PRAs prop (21.5), so we'll take the alt line at 24.5 for plus money.

Mitchell Robinson is done for the season, and Jericho Sims is on the shelf. That leaves Hartenstein as New York's starting center. Over his last nine, Hartenstein has averaged 10.7 boards in 31.2 minutes, pulling down at least 11 boards in three contests.

In three games since Hartenstein was inserted into the starting five, he's averaged similar numbers and pulled down at least 11 boards once. Hartenstein has pulled down at least 10 boards in five of his last nine games, coming within a rebound of hitting this prop.

Tonight's matchup with the Thunder offers a phenomenal shot to cash at plus money odds, with our most profitable wager available at FanDuel. Hartenstein has averaged 7.2 boards on the ro ad compared to 6.2 at home.

The Thunder have allowed the fourth-most rebounds to opponents this season, and Hartenstein should see as many minutes as he can handle on the road.

Just like Melton's PRAs line, Barnes' PRAs line is so juiced that it's not worth our attention. Instead, we'll take a shot on Barnes' rebounds+assists prop, which is offered at plus money on FanDuel.

On the season, Barnes has added 15.2 rebounds+assists, but across his last four, he's averaged 18.8 and posted at least 17 in two of them. Aside from the Detroit Pistons, the Wizards are arguably the worst team in the Association. Washington allows the most rebounds and the most assists to opponents, and Barnes has posted more rebounds+assists on the road than at home this season.

He's gone for at least 17 rebounds+assists in eight games this season, and five of them have come on the road. Bar nes' breakout campaign continues tonight in one of the best matchups available, so we'll take the Over.

Durant had his worst scoring performance of the season on Christmas, going for just 16 points on 4-of-11 shooting. The Suns dropped a third straight, and they'll need a strong showing from Durant to snap the current losing streak.

On the season, Durant is averaging 30.3 points on 51.8% shooting, so Monday's poor outing was an absolute outlier. He's scored at least 29 points in 14 of 25 games and averaged 32.7 points on the road compared to 28.4 at home.

Durant scored fewer than 20 points only one other time this season when he scored 18 on October 24. He bounced back for 39 points in the following game, and we can expect a similar bounce-back performance tonight. We'll gladly take the Over.
