The Charlotte Hornets (7-20; 11-16 ATS) start a six-game road trip, hoping to break out of their slump. Last Saturday, the Hornets lost to the Denver Nuggets 102-95 as 10.5-point home underdogs and extended their losing streak to seven games.

Charlotte made just 38.6% of its field goals against the reigning NBA champions. The Hornets went 8-for-28 from beyond the arc while posting an underwhelming 23/18 assist-to-turnover ratio. Miles Bridges led the way for the Hornets with 22 points and seven rebounds, and PJ Washington added a line of 20 points, eight boards, four steals, and a couple of steals and assists.

The Hornets held the Nuggets to 102 points, but their defense has been pretty much awful all season. Charlotte allows a staggering 121.8 points per 100 posses sions (29th in the NBA) on 56.4% shooting from inside the arc (27th) and 38.7% from downtown (tied-27th). The Hornets score 111.3 points in return (26th) while making 52.8% of their 2-pointers (22nd) and 35.2% of their 3-pointers (tied-24th).
