Fenway Bowl Preview: SMU vs. Boston College
A football game at one of the most iconic baseball stadiums in America, that’s what bowl season does. Or something like that. The Fenway Bowl will feature the ACC-bound SMU Mustangs and the Boston College Eagles, teams who had very different-looking seasons to end up here. BC is another team, like WVU and VT, who probably thought they might be riding the coaching carousel this week rather than preparing for a bowl game, but here we are. SMU, on the other hand, had a fantastic season for coach Rhett Lashley, capped off with an American Conference championship over Tulane (which was a best bet for us, if you’ve been following along). SMU is a 10-point favorite with an over/under of 49.5.
