The Charlotte Hornets limp into Indiana looking to rebound from a rough stretch of basketball. The Hornets have lost seven straight games including a 114-99 loss to Toronto in Toronto on Monday night. Already without starters LaMelo Ball, Gordon Hayward, and Mark Williams, the Hornets had to play the game without another starter as Miles Bridges was denied entrance into the country due to his past legal issues. Charlotte hung tough for much of the game before being outscored 35-18 in the final quarter. Terry Rozier led Charlotte with 22 points and P.J. Washington Jr. added 15 points in the losing effort.

“We competed great,” Hornets head coach Steve Clifford said. “Their defense in the fourth quarter was really good. We struggled to get good shots.”

The Hornets are beat up but should have Hayward back from illness and Bridges will also be active in this matchup against the Pacers. On the season, the Hornets are 23rd in the NBA in scoring offense. They are 18th in field goal percentage and 18th in 3-point shooting. The Hornets are just 26th in the league in 3-point field goals per game. Defensively the Hornets haven't been much better. They are 26th in points allowed per game. They are 27th in field goal percentage and 28th in 3-point defense. Williams' availability will be crucial on Wednesday to help the Hornets on the glass. They are just 27th in total rebounding this season. They are also 17th in turnovers per game this season.

Key Injuries: Gordon Hayward (illness) and Mark Williams (back) are day-to-day. LaMelo Ball is out.
