The Los Angeles Kings opened with two first-period goals, then watched the Winnipeg Jets score five unanswered goals over the next two frames in the 5-2 loss. The loss was the second in a row for the team, as they still hold tight to third place in the Pacific Division. L.A. has been devastating on the road this season, going 11-1-1.

Anze Kopitar and Alex Laferriere each scored first-period goals, but things went bad from there. Winnipeg scored three goals in the second to take the lead and closed the contest with two third-period tallies. Cam Talbot gave up four goals on 28 shots in the loss.

The Kings have been a scoring machine, third in goals per game (3.62), but are also getting great g oaltending, ranking second at 2.42 goals allowed per game. They are second in penalty killing (88.0%). Despite giving up four goals in the loss, Talbot has been spectacular, going 12-5-2 with a 2.02 goals-against average. He has a .927 save percentage.
