The Texas A&M Aggies head into Houston in a 'neutral site' game against the Cougars in name only. While the game is not at the traditional homecourt of Houston on campus, it will take place at the Toyota Center in Houston, home of the Rockets, and will still give the Cougars a distinct advantage. Regardless, the Aggies are looking for a win after losing two of their last three games heading into this matchup. On Sunday, the Aggies dropped out of the Top 25 after falling to visiting Memphis, 81-75. Manny Obaseki poured in a career-high 21 points off the bench, including 16 points in the second half. He was, however, the Aggies' only double-digit scorer in a game that ended the team's 14-game home winning streak.
“I think that they prepared great. I think our staff was great in preparation as well. They were excited to play. I think this week, if you count today as the first day of the week. I think this week is what we're about to do for the next 10 weeks after Christmas. And so, this is good preparation for us emotionally and mentally.” head coach Buzz Williams said after the game.
