Los Angeles Angels vs. Houston Astros Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 9-11-2022

The Houston Astros host the Los Angeles Angels in the final game of a three-game series Sunday. Tucker Davidson (2-5) takes the mound for the Angels while Luis Garcia (11-8) gets the start for the Astros.

It has been a disappointing season overall for the LA Angels but at least they are finishing strong and maybe, just maybe, they can breakthrough next season. The team has two of the top 5 biggest stars in the game — some might say THE top 2 stars in the game in Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout. The Angels need to be better than they are for the good of the game — they need to be a perennial playoff contender. They can't be also rans at 61-78. Maybe next year.

They beat the mighty Astros on Saturday night behind a strong performance by Ohtani. This guy is just ridiculous. He allowed 1 run on 6 hits in 5 innings with 7 strikeouts and 2 walks. He is now 12-8 on the season with an ERA of 2.55 with 188 strikeouts. He's 4th in the AL in ERA and third in strikeouts. Oh yeah, he also has 33 home runs and 86 RBI. If Aaron Judge was not having such an off the charts, all-time great season, Ohtani would be MVP again. The Angels other star Mike Trout had 2 hits including a home run and 3 RBIs. He now has 34 home runs and 67 RBI.
