The Boston Bruins face the New Jersey Devils with both teams looking to improve in on promising seasons. The Bruins have an 18-5-3 record and are in first place in the Atlantic Division. The Devils have a 14-11-1 record and with three wins in their last four games, they have leaped into fifth place in the Metropolitan Division. Both teams look to improve in the Eastern Conference and the upcoming game should be a good one as a result.

The Bruins are having a great season with their offense leading the way, scoring 3.31 goals per game. David Pastrnak, Brad Marchand, and Charlie Coyle have scored 38 goals and 47 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has been great as well. Pavel Zacha, James van Riemsdyk, and Trent Frederic have combined for 19 goals and 28 assists while defensemen Charlie McAvoy and Hampus Lindholm have added four goals and 20 assists from the point to open up the offense.

The offense has been great but the defense has carried the Bruins, allowing only 2.50 goals per game including only 10 goals in the last five games. Brandon Carlo and Hampus Lindholm have combined for 4.1 defensive point shares and 76 blocked shots while Charlie McAvoy, Ian Mitchell, and Kevin Shattenkirk have combined for 2.5 defensive point shares to add depth to the unit.
