Two teams that are outside the top ten in the Western Conference, the Portland Trail Blazers and the Golden State Warriors, will do battle in San Francisco on Wednesday night as the NBA returns to a full slate of games. The Trail Blazers are in the midst of a major overhaul after dealing away All-Star guard Dame Lillard before the start of the season. The Warriors, perhaps nearing the end of a historic run of success, are 9-11 heading into this game. The opening tap is scheduled for 10:00 PM EST.

The Portland Trail Blazers come into this game against the Warriors with a 6-13 record and in last place in the Northwest Division. Still, the Warriors have remained competitive despite making several offseason moves that appeared to signal a major rebuild. On Saturday, the Blazers' two-game winning streak was snapped in a 118-113 OT loss to the Jazz in Utah. Guards Shaedon Sharpe and Malcolm Brogdon each scored 25 points while rookie Scoot Henderson had 17 points off the bench in the close loss. The Jazz have now won two of the three games between the two teams this season.

Portland comes into this game last in the NBA in points per game. They are just 29th in field goal percentage and 27th in 3-point field goal percentage. Defensively, the Blazers are 10th in points per game against this season. They are 21st in field goal defense but a solid 2nd in 3-point defense. The Blazers have struggled on the glass, ranking 25th in the NBA in rebouding this season. They are also just 27th in turnovers per game.

Key Injuries: SG Anfernee Simons (thumb) is out. C Deandre Ayton and SF Jerami Grant are both listed as day-to-day but excpected to miss Wednesday's matchup.
