The Indiana State Sycamores have found their groove lately and roll into NIU with wins in six straight games. On Saturday, in their second Missouri Valley Conference game, took out Bradley 85-77 to improve to 2-0 in conference play and 7-1 on the season. Five Sycamores scored in double-digits in the victory, led by Robbie Avila's 22 points. Avila also added nine rebounds, four assists, and a block in the win. Jayson Kent delivered his third double-double of the season with 13 points and 11 rebounds against his former team Bradley. ISU shot nearly 53% in the game and 49% from 3-point range.
ISU has been a dominant offensive team thus far this season. The Sycamores are ranked 9th in the nation in points per game thus far. They are third in field goal percentage overall and sixth in 3-point field goal percentage. Defensively, the Sycamores still need some work to support their dominant offense. The Sycamores ranke 238th in points allowed per game this season. They are ranked 248th in opponent's field goal percentage and 187th in 3-point defense. ISU has done a better than average job of protecting the basketball, ranking 136th in the nation in turnovers per game. The Sycamores are just 317th in rebounding.
