The Los Angeles Ra,s play host to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday afternoon from SoFi Stadium in a key showdown. With the playoff race starting to heat up in both the AFC and NFC, both these teams need a win in this one. A loss last weekend for Cleveland snapped a three-game winning streak for the Browns, while LA was able to get back into the win column themselves last weekend. The last time these two met was in 2019, which was a win for the Rams, though with the rosters looking quite a bit different, this is one that could go either way.

With the injuries on the offensive side, as well as some of the continued off field distractions, the Browns have surpassed expectations. They bring in a 7-4 record but after losing to Denver last week, they know that they need to get back into the win column. The road has been a little more of a challenge for them this season, where they have a 2-3 record, but a recent run of success has them still carrying confidence across the country. When it comes to covering the spread, the Browns have six wins in their last nine and four wins in their last five. When the season comes to an end, they could point to this one as a key force towards their playoff run.

Cleveland has one of the longest injury reports in the NFL but even despite that, have continued to find success. On the offensive side of things, two key pieces in Kareem Hunt (groin) and Amari Cooper (ribs) carry injury designations into the weekend. Beyond that, the quarterback situation is a concern too, as Dorian Thompson-Robinson (concussion) is questionable. On the defensive side of things, the status of Myles Garrett (shoulder) will want to be monitored as well, as he is questionable.

The defense leads the way in this one, ranked first in the NFL in total yardage. Beyond that, the secondary leads the way too, ranked first in a number of defensive passing categories. The offense has been the more pressing concern, ranking in the bottom third of the league in a number of categories, though the ground game has been elite. Jerome Ford and Hunt have formed a strong duo in the backfield but until the passing game takes a step forward, teams like the Rams might be able to key in on the ground game.
