The Southern Methodist Mustangs and Tulane Green Wave will take the field on Saturday to decide who wins the American Athletic Conference. Kickoff from Yulman Stadium is at 4:00 p.m. ET.

SMU (10-2 SU, 7-5 ATS, 6-6 O/U) beat Navy 59-14 in its regular-season finale. Aside from non-conference losses at Oklahoma and TCU, the Mustangs ran the table, finishing 8-0 in AAC play.

Tulane (11-1 SU, 5-7 ATS, 2-10 O/U) also finished the regular season with an 8-0 conference record. The Green Wave beat UTSA 29-16 in its last game and only lost once in non-conference play, 37-20 to Ole Miss.

Tulane is a 3.5-point spread favorite and the game total is 47.0 points.

Mustangs: WR Jordan Kerley (18 receptions for 319 yards and two TDs), QB Preston Stone (3,197 passing yards and 28 TDs), DE Jayden Jones, and DE Braeden Flowers are out. RB Jaylan Knighton (113 carries for 645 yards and six TDs) is probable to play.

Green Wave: DL Adonis Friloux and WR Lawrence Keys III are out. WR Jha'Quan Jackson (24 receptions for 421 yards and four TDs) and RB Shaadie Clayton-Johnson (34 carries for 142 yards) are questionable.

The Mustangs have been on a tear, winning their last eight games by an average margin of victory of 27.8 points. High-tempo, high-scoring SMU will be without starting QB Preston Stone, however, as the sophomore broke his leg last week versus Navy. How will the Mustangs fare without their signal-caller?

SMU averaged 41.8 points (4th) and 472.6 total yards (9th) per game, including 292.5 passing yards (16th) and 180.1 rushing yards (42nd). It converted 41.2 percent of its third-down attempts (45th) and scored at least a field goal on 91.3 percent of its red zone trips (16th).

The Mustangs surrendered 17.7 points (13th) and 302.1 total yards (13th) per game this season, including 184.3 passing yards (15th) and 117.8 rushing yards (28th). They generated 40 sacks and 10 interceptions. SMU's opponents converted 28.4 percent of their third downs (4th) and scored at least a field goal on 82.7 percent of their visits to the red zone (62nd).
