There has been a dip in usage and production for Ausar Thompson with the return of Jaden Ivey in the Pistons’ starting lineup. Ivey has started the last 5 games for Detroit, and ironically enough, Thompson has stayed under this PRA line in all 4 games. Besides the previous game, where Thompson attempted 14 shots, he’s seen less than 10 field-goal attempts in 5 of his last 10 games. It’s tough to produce when you’re not getting your number called.
The rebounding was the story for Thompson to start the season. Through the first 15 games of the regular season, Thompson averaged 10 rebounds per game. The last 2 games have been a different story. He’s combined for just 10 rebounds on 8.5 rebounding chances per game.
