The Cleveland Cavaliers play host to the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday night in a homecoming for Lebron James, from Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. Little separates these two from a record standpoint, as both sit in eighth-place in their respective conferences. In a pair of matchups last season, Cleveland grabbed a series sweep, as they look to carry that momentum over into this season's opening matchup. There is sure to be plenty of fanfare involved in this one and there's no doubt that fans will want to lock in for this one.

As the season carries along, fans will want to make sure to check out our NBA predictions, to stay on top of all the best bets!

The Lakers hit the road as they come off of a three-game home stand and six home games in their last seven games overall. That's not the best news for LA fans, especially considering their 2-5 record away from home this season. Adding to that, is taking on a team that they struggled with last season and coming off a loss the last time out, they'll want to find a way to get back into the win column. They have won six of their last eight games overall and the ups-and-downs of the last few seasons makes it a challenge to know which version of the Lakers that fans can expect to see in this one. The schedule continues to be a challenge after this one, though they'll be sure to put their best foot forward on Saturday night.

The Lakers have a number of injuries as they head into this one though, which could impact how this one ends up. Lebron James (calf) is questionable for this one, wh ich would be a major hit for the Lakers. The good news is that Anthony Davis (hip) is at least questionable, as the Lakers should have at least one of their two major stars.

Los Angeles has one of the NBA's most efficient offenses, sitting fifth in the league, though most of their other offensive categories show struggles. Without James, there might be too much on the shoulders of Davis to carry the offense in this one. DeAngelo Russell and Austin Reaves have added depth but they aren't the type to be able to carry this offense to the finish line. On the defensive side, the Lakers do a great job of limiting fouls and free throws for their opposition and in what is expected to be a tight game, with depth also a question, there ability to stay out of foul trouble could prove to be valuable.
