The Loyola of Chicago Ramblers fell to 2-3 on the season following an 88-65 loss to Creighton on Wednesday. The Ramblers finished last season just 10-21 and are anxious to get back to the NCAA Tournament this season. They were unable to hang with the larger Bluejays team that put together a couple of big runs in the second half to pull away for the win. Des Watson led the Ramblers with 15 points and Braden Norris chipped in with 14 points in the loss.

“I think we did a pretty good job for a while,” Loyola assistant coach Sean Dwyer said. “Then the doors kind of came off.”

The Ramblers were down by just eight points at the half but were unable to slow down the Bluejays in the second half as Creighton pulled away to a 23-point victory. Loyola finished the Creighton game shooting 44% from the floor overall and 40% from 3-point range. Loyola only had 10 turnov ers in the game but were outrebounded by 11 against the Bluejays.
