The Philadelphia Flyers are one of the hottest squads in the NHL. They have won five consecutive games propelled by stellar defense and goaltending. This includes victories against the Kings, Hurricanes, Golden Knights, and a dominating 5-2 home win against the Blue Jackets on Sunday. They have rallied to 2nd in the Metro division behind only the Rangers.

Travis Konecny has been kept in check in the winning streak, recording only four points on the month. The 26-year-old winger scored in Sunday’s victory and now has 15 points on the season. He was held pointless in two games against the Islanders last season. Cam Atkinson only has three goals this month. The 34-year-old has just one assist in his last three games and has eight goals and five assists on the season. Sean Walker has been a surprise on the blue line. The 29-year-old defenseman has collected 10 points and a +6 rating.

The Flyers are expected to have Carter Hart guard the cage after Samuel Ersson was in the net on Sunday against the Blue Jackets. The performance of Hart is a big reason the Flyers are enjoying success.
