A pair of ACC teams take the field in search of a conference victory as they tangle in the Old Dominion. The NC State Wolfpack are on the road as they make the trip to take on the Virginia Tech Hokies Saturday afternoon. NC State comes in off a 26-6 road win over Wake Forest in their previous contest last Saturday, covering the line as a two-point favorite. Virginia Tech cruised to a 48-22 triumph over Boston College on the road in their most recent game last Saturday, covering the line as a three-point favorite. In the all-time series between the teams, the Hokies own a 28-19-4 advantage but it was the Wolfpack picking up a 22-21 win at home in the most recent matchup on October 27, 2022.

NC State ran their win streak to three games as they shut down Wake Forest on the road in their previous game. The Wolfpack improved to 7-3 on the season overall and stand tied for third in the ACC with a 4-2 conference record. Against Wake Forest, NC State led 7-0 after the opening quarter and 21-0 at the half before cruising the rest of the way to the victory. The Wolfpack shut down the Demon Deacons offensively, holding a 377-163 advantage in total offense, picked up 19 first downs while allowing eight and controlling the clock by a 40:16 to 19:44 margin. NC State committed one turnover while forcing a pair and scored on a defensive two-point conversion in the game.

On the season, the Wolfpack is 114th in the nation in passing offense as they average 180.1 yards per game through the air this season. NC State stands 84th in the country in rushing offense with an average of 14 4.1 yards per contest. The Wolfpack is 84th in the FBS in scoring offense with 24.8 points per contest. NC State is 24th in the country in scoring defense as they allow an average of 19.4 points per game. Brennan Armstrong is 106 of 177 passing for 1,082 yards with six touchdowns and six interceptions this season. He leads the team with 433 rushing yards plus four scores on the ground this year. Brayden Narveson is 29 of 29 on extra points and 12 of 16 on field goals with a long of 57 this season. Kanoah Vinesett hit his only extra point attempt without attempting a field goal this season.

Morris (redshirt) opted to sit out the rest of the season after playing his final game against Miami November 4. Allen (undisclosed) is questionable for this contest.
