The Cleveland Cavaliers evened up their West Coast swing at 1-1 with a big win over the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night. Donovan Mitchell was in the center of everything, including the game's most controversial moment. After being shouldered out of bounds by Golden State forward Draymond Green, Mitchell raced down court after the play and got into an exchange with Green. The play was reviewed and Green was ejected from the game. Mitchell then went about finishing off the Warriors with 21 points, seven rebounds, five steals, and a pair of steals to help the Cavs get the win.
“I think that was a little bit of a dirty play so Donovan retaliated,” Cavs forward Evan Mobley said.
The Cavs hope to hit their stride on this trip away from home. The team is currently just 23rd in the NBA in points per game. They are 22nd in field goal percentage and 26th in 3-p oint shooting.
