San Jose Sharks (1-10-1) vs. Vegas Golden Knights (11-2-1)

The 2023-24 NHL season goes on Friday, November 10, with a six-game slate, so we are breaking down the Pacific Division showdown from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, to get you the best Sharks vs. Golden Knights pick.

San Jose meets Vegas for the second time this season. Back in the opening week, the Golden Knights outlasted the Sharks 4-1 at SAP Center at San Jose, and Vegas is a huge fave to beat San Jose once more.

Thursday’s games have been excluded from this preview, and the San Jose Sharks hosted the Edmonton Oilers, looking for their second straight victory. Last Tuesday, the Sharks edged the Philadelphia Flyers 2-1 for their first win in 2023-24.

San Jose was outshot by Philadelphia 39-19. The Sharks fought bravely and killed all of the Flyers’ four power-play opportunities. San Jose went 1-for-5 with the man advantage, and Anthony Duclair led the way with a goal and an assist.

Frankly, the Sharks have been awful so far this season. They are dead last in the league in goals for (1.17 per game), goals against (4.58), and shooting percentage (4.7%). The Sharks had allowed 20 goals over two games before they beat the Flyers on Tuesday night. & #13;

Mackenzie Blackwood (4.27 GAA; .892 SV%) posted 38 saves against Philadelphia, advancing to 1-6-1 on the young season. He was projected to patrol the crease on Thursday, so we could see Kaapo Kahkonen between the pipes on Friday night. Kahkonen is 0-4-0 with a 4.30 GAA and a .876 save percentage this season.
