While Slavin and Skjei have led the top two pairings with 2.0 defensive point shares, the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net at will. In addition, goaltender Antti Raanta has struggled with a .877 save percentage and a 2.83 goals-against average on 122 sh ots with -3.3 goals saved above average.
