The In-Season Tournament continues in the NBA with two teams on opposite streaks as the Philadelphia 76ers (6-1, 7-0 ATS) travel to take on the Detroit Pistons (2-7, 4-5 ATS). The 76ers are on a 6-game winning streak, and the Pistons are on a 6-game losing streak. Philly just won a huge matchup at home against the Celtics, winning 106-103 as 2.5-point underdogs. The Pistons are coming off a heartbreaking loss in Milwaukee, losing 120-118, but covered the 12.5-point spread as underdogs. The Sixers are currently listed as 6-point favorites. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 EST from Little Caesar's Arena in Detroit.

The 76ers are the only team in the Eastern Conference with just one loss, and they have covered the spread in every game they have played thus far. In their recent win over the Celtics, Joel Embiid led the way with 27 points and 10 rebounds, while Tyrese Maxey added 25 points and nine rebounds. Nick Nurse has installed his system with the 76ers and it has been paying dividends, leading Embiid to say, “New coach, new systems, bunch of new guys, just trying to get everybody up to speed. Let's see what we can do.”

Embiid has not slowed down from last year's MVP performance, he is leading the league in scoring with 31.7 PPG and is 9th in rebounding with 10.9 per game. Two games ago, Embiid torched the Wizards for 48 points and 11 rebounds in a huge win. Tyrese Maxey is enjoying his breakout season, he is averaging 25.4 PPG and 7.0 APG as the full time point guard in Philly. Maxey i s the top shooter on the team, making 3.1 triples a game. Tobias Harris continues his steady play with 19.3 PPG and 6.4 RPG. Kelly Oubre Jr. has moved into the starting lineup following the trade, he is averaging 17.4 PPG and often guards the opposing team's best perimeter player.

De'Anthony Melton rounds out the starting lineup and averages 7.6 PPG as a role player in the offense. Nurse is still figuring out what bench rotations to go with, Nic Batum, Robert Covington and Pat Beverley played the most minutes off the bench against Boston. Philly's offense is the 4th most efficient in the league, and their defense ranks 5th in efficiency according to dunksandthrees.com. Nick Nurse has the 76ers picking up the pace, as their tempo ranks 8th in the league.
