The Boston Celtics (5-1, 2-2-2 ATS, 5-1 O/U) meet with the Philadelphia 76ers (5-1, 6-0 ATS, 4-2 O/U) in a divisional showdown on Wednesday evening. The Celtics were dealt a road loss against the Timberwolves in their previous bout. The 76ers beat the Wizards on Monday night. The Celtics went 3-1 against the 76ers last season.

The Boston Celtics are looking to rebound from their first defeat of the season. There have been several dominating performances including a 155-104 home win against the Pacers last week. Boston is concluding a three-game road trek in this one. Boston clobbered the Nets by a 124-114 score on Saturday and were small three-point favorites in a 114-109 overtime road loss against the Timberwolves on Monday. They have covered the spread just twice this season.

Jayson Tatum continues to dominate. The 25-year-old small forward has netted at least 30 points in all but one game this season including 32 on Monday and is sporting an average of 30.5 PPG and 8.8 RPG. He averaged 21 points against the 76ers last season. Jaylen Brown has shot below 48% in each of his last three games. The 27-year-old shooting guard has issued an average of 23.2 PPG on 45% shooting. Krist aps Porzingis is excelling in his first season in Boston. The 28-year-old center connected on 80% of his field goals in Saturday’s win and has posted an average of 19.5 PPG and has connected on 55% of his field goals. 

Boston has just one loss on the road, going 4-1 on the season including a win against the Knicks and Nets. Boston has been one of the best offensive teams in the NBA, averaging a stellar 125.3 points, good for second, and have connected on 48.3% of their field goals. They have been just as good defensively, holding opponents to 109 points, good for eighth in the NBA.
