The Cal State Fullerton Titans went 20-13 overall and 12-6 in the conference play last season. They beat Hawaii 62-60 in overtime and UC Irvine 83-80 in the Big West Championship Tournament before losing to UC Santa Barbara 72-62 in the final. 

Cal State Fullerton was No. 124 in the KenPom rankings at the end of the 2022-23 season. The Titans were scoring 104.5 points per 100 possessions (181st in the nation) while allowing 100.5 points in return (86th). They ranked 307th in the country in pace, recording just 64.7 possessions per 40 minutes. 

The Titans enter the new season as No. 174 at KenPom and No. 128 at Bart Torvik. They lost their top scorer from the previous season, as Latrell Wrightsell Jr. (16.3 PPG) joined Alabama in the transfer portal. Jalen Harris (12.4 PPG) is also out, but the Titans return both Max Jones (12.5 PPG, 4.0 RPG) and Tory San Antonio (7.8 PPG, 4.7 RPG).
