The Nashville Predators (4-6, 5-5 PL, 3-5-2 O/U) battle the Edmonton Oilers (2-6-1, 2-7 PL, 5-3-1 O/U) in a conference bout on Saturday night. The Predators lost a road decision to the Kraken in their previous bout. The Oilers were hit with a home loss against the Stars on Thursday. The Oilers won two of three meetings against the Predators last season.
The Nashville Predators continue a challenging road trek. The squad opened the trip with a 5-2 road loss to the Canucks on Tuesday and were dealt a 4-2 road loss against the Kraken on Thursday night. The squad has been mediocre this season. Nashville has beaten the Rangers and Maple Leafs but is struggling to score goals. They are playing solid in the defensive end for the most part. Filip Forsberg has recorded four points in his last three games. The 29-year-old winger is relied on heavily on a squad that does not have a ton of depth. Forsberg has collected nine points in 10 games. He earned four points in three meetings against the Oilers last season. Tommy Novak has been a bright spot. The young center scored on Thursday and already has five goals along with two assists on the season. Luke Evangelista is a young player wi th potential. The 21-year-old posted 15 points in 24 games last season and has six points this season.

The Predators have started Juuse Saros in the net in all but one game. The veteran netminder has been outstanding, sporting a 2.68 GAA and a .909 save % accompanied by a 4-5 record on the season. The backup is Kevin Lankinen. Nashville is scoring an average of 2.7 goals per game, ranking them 24th. They are conceding an average of 3 goals, placing them 15th.
