The Kings are having a great season with their offense leading the way, scoring 4.20 goals per game with 21 goals in the last five games. Kevin Fiala, Adrian Kempe, and Anze Kopitar have scored nine goals and 24 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has stepped up as well. Trevor Moore, Phillip Danault, and Quinton Byfield have combined for 10 goals and 13 assists while defensemen Michael Anderson and Drew Doughty have added five goals and eight assists from the point to put the offense over the top.

The offense has been great but the defense has struggled, allowing 3.10 goals per game. Doughty and Anderson have combined for 1.3 defensive point shares but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net with ease. The one bright spot has been the play of goaltender Cam Talbot .915 save percentage and a 2.41 goals-against average on 224 shots with 2.0 goals saved above average.
