The Texas Rangers and Arizona Diamondbacks get set for game four of the World Series in Arizona on Halloween Night. The Rangers set an MLB record with their ninth straight road win this postseason in game three against the Diamondbacks. The Rangers now look to take a commanding 3-1 lead with a win on Tuesday night. Either manager has not yet announced the pitching matchup. The opening pitch is scheduled for 8:03 PM EST.

The Texas Rangers once again proved to be a winning machine on the road in these playoffs. Behind excellent bullpen work, after starter Max Scherzer left the game with an undisclosed injury after three innings, the Rangers took a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series with a 3-0 victory. The win makes the Rangers a perfect 9-0 in the playoffs this season, an MLB record. After turning away a Diamondbacks' threat in the second inning, the Rangers scored all the runs they needed with an RBI single by Marcus Semien followed by a two-run shot by Corey Seager. Starting pitcher Scherzer navigated through the first three innings, allowing two hits without a run. He left after being struck on his throwing arm with a ground ball out that ended the third inning. Jon Gray stepped in and gave the Rangers three scoreless innings and turned it over to the backend of the Rangers' bullpen. Jose Leclerc closed the game out with a perfect ninth inning.& #13;

Based on Bruce Bochy's bullpen decision in game three, I expect the Rangers to utilize a combination of starting pitchers here. Expect Bochy to start with either Dane Dunning or Andrew Heaney to open the game. Dunning seems like the better choice here, although both have struggled in the postseason. Heaney was roughed up by Houston in game five, his last appearance. In the postseason thus far, Dunning has pitched in four games, going six innings while allowing six hits and four runs. He has a K/9 average of 7.5 and a WHIP of 1.83. Dunning was very reliable for his team in the regular season with 12 wins while splitting time between starting and relieving. Bochy will also have lefty Cody Bradford, a career starter, available for an early inning or two although he has been used situationally in the postseason thus far with four appearances and only six innings of work.
