Kansas City (6-1 SU, 5-2 ATS) is back in action to face AFC West rival Denver (2-5 SU, 1-5-1 ATS) on Sunday at 4:25pmET from Empower Field at Mile High in Colorado.

The Chiefs won the first meeting in ugly fashion 19-8 on Oct. 12 on Thursday Night Football. Patrick Mahomes went 30 of 40 for 306 yards with a TD and a pick in that game.

This is not an easy time of the year to beat the books. If you are looking for quality NFL Free Picks, you have found the right place.

Kansas City has won six straight games after losing the opener 21-20 to Detroit at home on Thursday Night Football without star TE Travis Kelce and star DT Chris Jones (hold in). Without a star wide receiver to help out Patrick Mahomes and Kelce, the Chiefs are winning with defense, a decent running game, and of course, an all-world quarterback who makes plays. Last week, they took apart the Chargers at home 31-17 as a six-point favorite. The defense led by DC Steve Spagnulo, forced two interceptions from Justin Herbert and Mahomes lit up their secondary for 424 yards and four TDs.

The Chiefs have also owned the Broncos, winning 16 straight games in Denver and last lost a game to them in September of 2015 at home. The key for Kansas City is keeping Mahomes upright, because he just finds ways to win and this season, he's using his legs more. He has 214 yards rushing to rank second on the team, which is probably not a number Andy Reid would like to see. Isaih Pacheco leads the Chiefs with 419 yards rushing and three TDs (4.2ypc). Mahomes has completed 69.5% of his passes for 2,017 yards with 15 TDs and six INTs. Kelce leads all receivers with 48 catches for 525 yards and four TDs. Rookie Rayshee Rice is the top wide receiver with 26 catches for 305 yards and three TDs.

There is a team that has a couple of receivers that the Chiefs might be interested in as the trade deadline approaches on Halloween. Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy could help Kansas City get another ring and are available for the right price.

Overall, the Chiefs rank 7th in yards per game allowed (294.6ypg), sixth in passing yards allowed per game (188.9ypg) and 16th in rushing yards allowed (105.7ypg), while allowing just 15 points per game (2nd). Offensively, they rank 18th in rushing (111.3ypg) and second in passing yards per game (285.4ypg).
