Tonight we have what should be a really fun matchup between the top two teams in the Atlantic Division as the 5-2-1 Detroit Red Wings head to Boston to face the 6-0-1 Bruins. The Bruins went 2-1 in the three games between these teams last season, winning 5-1 and 3-2, both on the road, and then losing 5-3 at home. The puck drops at 7 p.m. EST at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

Expectations were elevated for the Detroit Red Wings this season with the goal of making the playoffs. They opened their season with a loss before going on a five-game win streak, but come into tonight’s game on a two-game losing streak. After losing 5-4 at home to the Kraken on Tuesday, they followed that up with a 4-1 home loss to the Jets on Thursday night.
