Indiana has dropped three straight and four of its last five straight-up, as it was held scoreless in the second half of last week's home loss to Rutgers. The Hoosiers trailed by only a field goal at the half but lost their momentum. Freshman quarterback Brendan Sorsby completed only 15 of his 31 passing attempts for 126 yards and the Scarlet Knights dominated on the ground, rushing for 276 yards.

With starting QB Tayven Jackson sidelined, Sorsby has taken over for IU. The Denton, TX, native has passed for 420 yards and three touchdowns in five games. The Hoosiers have four receivers with 200-plus receiving yards and two running backs with over 200 rushing yards.

Indiana scores 17.9 points per game (124th) and averages 311.7 total yards (118th), including 198.0 passing yards (102nd) and 113.7 rushing yards (112th). It converts 30.5 percent of its third-down plays (118th) and scores on 61.5 percent of its red zone trips (131st).

The Hoosiers give up 29.3 points (96th) and 369.0 total yards (64th) per game, including 191.7 passing yards (23rd) and 177.3 rushing yards (111th). They have racked up 14 sacks and six interceptions this season. IU's opponents have converted 39.1 percent of their third-down attempts (73rd) and scored on 92.3 percent of their visits to the red zone (115th). Indiana is 122nd nationally in stop rate (50.8%), the percentage of a defense’s drives that end in punts, turnovers, or a turnover on downs.
