San Francisco lost its first regular season matchup last week since Week 7 of the 2022 season. The 49ers will look to rebound without star wideout Deebo Samuel, while Offensive Player of the Year front-runner Christian McCaffrey is questionable but likely to play.
The Vikings are also down an offensive weapon with Justin Jefferson on the shelf until further notice. Minnesota is a disappointing 2-4 on the year and will have its hands full against one of the league's best teams.

The 49ers have put points on the board on their opening drive in all six of their games this season (and have obviously achieved at least one first down as a result). Overall, San Francisco is averaging 6 yards per play this year. Meanwhile, three of its six opponents have moved the sticks on their first drive.
However, Minnesota has not fared so well on its first possession over the last six weeks. The Vikings have crossed the line to gain twice in that span on their opening drive. However, they are averaging 5.6 yards per play on the season, so the potential is there for at least one first down to start the game. Defensively, the last three teams the Vikings faced have converted a first down against them.

Even with Deebo Samuel on the field, Aiyuk has logged the most receptions (25) and has the most receiving yards (454) for San Francisco this season. His production has been evenly distributed, as well, averaging 36.7 yards per game in the first half while adding another 36 per game in the second half.
Aiyuk has gained at least 35 yards in each half in four of his six games so far this year. He is averaging 18.2 yards per reception in his 2023 campaign, which means there's the potential for him to surpass this mark on just two catches each half.

San Francisco has been one of the more impressive offensive teams this season, averaging 30.7 points per game, second only to the Miami Dolphins. Last week's 17-point performance against the Cleveland Browns was the first time all year the 49ers failed to score at least 30 points. In fact, it was only the second time in their last 12 regular-season games in which they missed this mark.
Minnesota has yet to put 30 points on the board this season. The Vikings did come within six of this mark against the Chargers. The Philadelphia Eagles are the only team that has hung more than 29 points against the Vikings through their first six games.
