The Cincinnati Reds will again be in Chicago, IL Wednesday night for a matchup with the Chicago Cubs. Cincinnati comes into Wednesday night as one of the worst teams in all of baseball 26 games below .500 despite winning three of the last five games played. Chase Anderson got the start for Cincinnati giving up no runs and no hits in 2.2 innings of work leading to the no decision before Derek Law came on in relief to allow no runs on three hits across two innings to pick up the victory.

Offensively Cincinnati had one of their best games of the season with nine hits in 33 at bats including three hits with runners in scoring. Aristides Aquino led the way for the Cincinnati offense with a pinch hit Grand Slam in the 6th inning, while five other Cincinnati players drove in one run each.

The Chicago Cubs go back home Wednesday night 22 games under .500 after losing four of the last five games played including three in a row after a 2-0 loss to the Cardinals. Marcus Stroman got to start for Chicago and pitched well giving up no runs on four hits across 7 innings of work, but Brandon Hughes came on in relief to allow two runs on two hits after recording only two outs leading to the loss.
