Washington State Cougars (4-2) vs. Oregon Ducks (5-1)

Week 8 of the 2023 college football season is upon us, so we are breaking down the Pac-12 Conference showdown from Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon, to bring you the best Washington State vs. Oregon betting pick and odds.

Oregon aims for its fifth straight victory over Washington State. The Ducks are 20-point home favorites at the moment, while the total sits at 62.0 points.

The Washington State Cougars (4-2; 3-3 ATS) have dropped two straight contests since their bye week, losing at UCLA 25-17 and to Arizona 44-6 over the last couple of weeks. Last Saturday, the Cougars were embarrassed by the Wildcats, who outgained Washington State 516-234 in total yards and won the turnover battle 3-0. It was an ugly performance, as the Cougars yielded 44 unanswered points after taking a 6-0 lead early in the first quarter.

Junior signal-caller Cameron Ward went 22-of-30 for 192 yards and an interception in Week 7. Senior running back Nakia Watson had five receptions for 88 yards, and junior wideout Kyle Williams caught nine passes for 61 yards. Watson also had five carries for zero yards and a touchdown.

“We’ve got to find some answers to our offensive struggles,” Washington State coach Jake Dickert said. “Obviously, the main answer is running the football, being physical, and getting to the point of attack.”

Washington State is tallying 34.3 points per game (tied-30th in the country) on 337.8 passing yards (5th) and 93.0 rushing yards (125th). On the other side of the ball, the Cougars are yielding 28.5 points per contest (tied-89th) on 272.2 passing yards (120th) and 147.2 rushing yards (77th).

Cameron Ward has thrown for 1,779 yards, 14 touchdowns, and three interceptions so far this season. Nakia Watson has 304 yards from scrimmage and five touchdowns on his tally, while Kyle Williams has accounted for 447 yards and four scores on 33 receptions.
