Dallas Stars (1-0-0) vs. Vegas Golden Knights (3-0-0)

The 2023-24 NHL season continues with a nine-game Tuesday slate, including the Western Conference battle at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, so here’s the best Stars vs. Golden Knights betting pick along with the latest odds update.

Dallas and Vegas start a three-game regular-season set. The Golden Knights open as -123 home favorites, while the Stars are listed as +109 moneyline underdogs with a total of 6.0 goals.

The Dallas Stars opened their 2023-24 campaign last Thursday, outlasting the St. Louis Blues 2-1 in a shootout to satisfy -210 odds in front of the home audience. The Stars outshot the Blues 34-24, and Jamie Benn gave Dallas an early second-period lead that lasted just a couple of minutes.

Dallas went 0-for-4 with the man advantage in its season opener. The Stars registered 14 takeaways and 13 giveaways while killing all of the Blues’ three power-play opportunities.

“We found a way to win against a team that’s been sitting on a tough year all summer, and we knew were going to come out heavy and hard,” Stars coach Pete DeBoer said. “That’s a better team than their record last year. The good thing for us, I thought we got better as the game went on.”

Jake Oettinger is expected to patrol the crease Tuesday in Las Vegas. The 24-year-old star goaltender stopped 23 of 24 shots in Dallas’ narrow victory over St. Louis. He also had a pair of saves in a shootout to help his team grab two points. Last season, Oettinger went 37-11-11 while posting a 2.37 GAA, .919 save percentage, and five shutouts.
