Georgia won its second National Championship in program history and its first since 1980 when it defeated Alabama last January. The Bulldogs' dominance led to a record 15 players being selected in the the NFL Draft and that added to an already well-represented group at the professional level.

An impressive total of 43 players hailing from the Bulldogs program will be on a NFL roster in Week 1. That mark only trails three other college programs, including a pair of SEC competitors in Alabama and LSU. Keep in mind Georgia's total grew from a mark of 41 players heading into the 2021 season.
Those 43 players are spread across 27 different rosters, with five teams leading the way with three active players each. Those teams are the Baltimore Ravens, Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Chargers and New York Giants. Of course, the Rams won Super Bowl 56 in February.
It shouldn't come as a surprise to learn most of the bulldogs in the NFL suit up on the defensive side of the ball. That includes five 2022 first-round selections in Travon Walker, Jordan Davis, Quay Walker, Devonte Wyatt and Lewis Cine. Each player is in line to make an immediate impact as a rookie.
Georgia is no slouch when it comes to offensive players, either, though. Running backs Nick Chubb, D'Andrew Swift and James Cook are all expected to play huge backfield roles for their respective teams. Pittsburgh wide receiver George Pickens is also a trendy rookie of the year candidate.
For now, head coach Kirby Smart is attempting to lead another batch of NFL hopefuls to a National title. Georgia has odds set at +300 to be the last team standing, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
