A pair of outstanding QBs will be on show when Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings visit Justin Fields and the Chicago Bears on Sunday, October 15, 2023.
The Vikings head into the matchup after losing 27-20 to the Kansas City Chiefs in their last game on October 8. Cousins threw for 284 yards, with two touchdowns and no interceptions on 29-of-47 passing (61.7%) for the Vikes in that matchup against the Chiefs. Alexander Mattison carried the ball eight times for 26 yards (3.3 yards per carry). He added two receptions for 20 yards and one touchdown. Jordan Addison had six receptions for 64 yards (10.7 per catch) and one touchdown against the Chiefs.
The Bears are coming off of a victory over the Washington Commanders by the score of 40-20. Fields’ showing for the Bears against the Commanders included 15-of-29 passing for 282 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions. He rushed 11 times for 57 yards. Khalil Herbert carried the ball 10 times for 76 yards (7.6 yards per attempt). D.J. Moore caught eight passes for 230 yards (28.8 yards per catch), scoring three touchdowns.
