The Los Angeles Dodgers (92-41) host the San Francisco Giants (64-68) on Sept. 6 for the second game of a 3-game series. Los Angeles leads the season series 10-3 entering play Monday night.
The Dodgers have named Tyler Anderson to start the game on the mound. The lefty is 13-3 with a 2.68 earned run average over 147.2 innings. Anderson has struck out 114 and walked 30. The Giants had yet to announce a starter for the game.
Every series between the clubs has been a sweep this season. The Dodgers swept a four-game series at home in July before taking all four at San Francisco to start August. The Dodgers also won a two-game series at home in May before dropping three June 10-12 at San Francisco. The Giants were 32-26 and in position for a Wild Card spot after that sweep but have gone 31-42 since to fall eight games out of the final playoff spot.
