Turnovers have killed the Las Vegas Raiders this season. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has thrown six interceptions which is a big part of the reason his team is 1-2. The QB has been ruled out for Week 4 with a concussion.
On the flip side, the L.A. Chargers clinched their first win of the season, albeit with a late defensive stop to secure the victory. In their 28-24 triumph over the Minnesota Vikings, Chargers QB Justin Herbert impressed with 405 yards passing and three touchdowns.

If only we knew who was playing in this game. Garoppolo returned to practice, but remains in concussion protocol, while Chargers running back Austin Ekeler was limited but still questionable after suffering a Week 1 injury . These are two incredibly important players to both offenses, and if one, or either is unable to go, then this Under becomes much more enticing.
The Raiders average just 15 points per game this season. Garoppolo has more interceptions than the team has touchdowns. But its offense is also about to go against a defense allowing 450.7 yards per game this year. If Garoppolo can't play, then Brian Hoyer starts, and he's proven to be competent throughout his career.
On the other side, L.A. lost wide receiver Mike Williams for the season, which means if Ekeler is unavailable, Herbert's only big-name weapon is wideout Keenan Allen. The Raiders' defense is stingy this year, and could pose serious problems for a hampered Chargers' offense.
If both these teams were at full strength, then we'd probably take the Over. However, there are so many injuries on both offenses that we have to take the Under. Even if every key player ends up on the field, they won't be 100%.

This game features so many unknowns, so it's not surprising to see so much discrepancy between sportsbooks. FanDuel offers this number at 49.5, while Caesars has it all the way down at 47.5
Take the highest number available for -120 or less. This is a game that could hit the Over if everyone's healthy. But with how things stand now, getting anything below 48.5 is good. Anything below 49.5 is great.

The Chargers opened as 4.5-point favorites and since we don't know who will play quarterback for the Raiders, it's not surprising the number moved to 5.5. More than 64% of bettors back the Chargers, so if you're on the favorites, get in sooner rather than later.
As for the total, the number opened at 49.5, but dropped with Garoppolo's status unknown. At the moment, 60% of bettors still back the Over. If Jimmy G plays, then oddsmakers may move the total in unison with bettors. However, it's a high number, especially since one of the teams in this game hasn't scored 20 yet this season.
