The South Alabama Jaguars go for their third straight win Saturday as they host the Central Michigan Chippewas. The Central Michigan Chippewas are 1-2 on the season after losing to Notre Dame last Saturday 41-17. The good news is that the Chips easily covered as 35 point underdogs. The Chips were overmatched, but they ran the ball pretty well as Myles Bailey ran for 59 yards and a touchdown while Marion Lukes rushed for 56 yards. Backup quarterback Jase Bauer was a pedestrian 10 for 20 for 137 yards with no TDs or INTs but he ran for 16 yards and 1 touchdown. Jesse Prewitt caught 2 passes for 59 yards.
The Chippewas are averaging 23 points per game on the season, which ranks 99th in the nation. They average 309 total yards per game, which is 119th in the country.
