Thursday Night Football in Week 3, on paper, seems like it's going to be ugly. We remember last season where the short week games often were uneventful and lopsided. On Thursday, the New York Giants (+10.5) are heading to San Francisco to take on the 2-0 49ers. Last week, the Giants squeaked out a road victory against the Arizona Cardinals and lost Saquon Barkley in the process. He should be out the next few weeks with a sprained ankle and Matt Breida (former 49er) will take his place. The 49ers could be without Brandon Aiyuk who injured his shoulder last week vs the LA Rams; something to monitor throughout the coming days.
