Minnesota Twins vs. Chicago White Sox Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 9-4-2022

The Chicago White Sox (67-66) look for the sweep when they meet Minnesota (67-64) on Sunday afternoon at 2:10pmET from Guaranteed Rate Field.

Thie White Sox are just two games behind Cleveland for first place in the AL Central, while Twins are just one game back.

Minnesota has lost three straight games including the last two to the White Sox 4-3 on Friday night and 13-0 on Saturday. Starter Tyler Mahle (2 IP, 4 ER) could barely get out of the first inning on Saturday and the bullpen ended up allowing nine runs. It was a complete disaster, but the real disaster is the performance of Mahle, who was acquired in a deal from the Reds and has been having shoulder issues.

The Twins are having some injury issues with IF Jorge Polanco (knee) injured. He has 16 homers and 56 RBIs this season. IF Jermaine Palacios will take his spot with Polanco on the IL.

Right-hander Dylan Bundy (7-6, 4.53 ERA) will try and get the Twins back on track. Bundy has been pretty good lately, allowing 2 or less runs in five straight starts. He's faced the White Sox three times this season and has allowed four runs in 15.1 innings.
