The Atlanta Falcons are set to host the Carolina Panthers in a NFC South rivalry matchup on the NFL Week 1 schedule. The Falcons are looking to improve upon back to back 7-10 seasons in head coach Arthur Smith's third season on the job. Desmond Ridder enters the season as Atlanta's starting quarterback. The Panthers are also coming off a 7-10 season in 2022, but will have a new look under first year head coach Frank Reich. Rookie quarterback Bryce Young, the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, is set to make his first professional start for Carolina. Kickoff from Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET. Atlanta is a 3.5-point favorite and the over/under for total points scored is 39.5 in the latest Falcons vs. Panthers odds.
