The Atlanta Braves (80-51) will host the Colorado Rockies (56-75) in the final contests in a three-game series Thursday night. Colorado won 3-2 on Tuesday night, and Atlanta won 3-2 on Wednesday.
The Rockies have been severely overmatched in this series on paper, but not on the field. On Tuesday night Colorado pulled a huge upset as a +275 underdog. Last night, the Rockies were an even bigger underdog (+306) and fell behind 2-0 in the first and 3-0 in the fifth. There wasn't any more scoring until the top of the ninth inning when rookie Michael Toglia hit his first career home run to pull the Rockies within 3-2. Even though Colorado lost the game, the shot sunk bettors who had the Braves at -1.5 on the run line.
